The Dar Es Salaam University Economics Association (DUEA), was reconstructed and with great love perpetuated with spirits of individuals, who realised that it is the only platform to us as economics students that can give us an extra vital thing different from what we get in class. DUEA provides a forum for Economics students to identify and develop extra abilities and talents assumed to play a pivotal role in their career development.
Our vision is an aspiration to form a strong economist movement in Tanzania in the deliberation of the Country’s general Economic chaos. In the course of pursuing this DUEA involves in various activities, including,to carry out capacity building, conducting seminars, research, public lectures and activism activities to increase stakeholders’ influence and participation in the implementation and achievement of its main agenda as par its mission, moreover, DUEA conducts Debates, Workshops and Academic tours.
To achive its mission, DUEA work closely with various agencies of changes within and beyond borders to ensure that the voices and struggles of these young but ambitious economists do not end in Vain.
Greatly concerned with serious problems which are hindering our country’s economic and social development, and hence the need to increase participation in the country’s struggles and development races.
DUEA has also extended its role by bringing the sense of togetherness among economics students and link the students to the department, an opportunity discovered only by those who find DUEA an opportunity in their university.
DUEA remains a viable and relevant opportunity to resort to by Economics students during their staying at the University, and hence it’s a high time that we call upon all to utilize the opportunity to make DUEA strong and raise it to the class of its own.
